Right now in my location scrap cars are going for $140.00 per ton and a car weighs around 4,000 lbs which is 2 tons so at $140.00 per ton your scrap car here would be worth $280.00 so not too bad of a deal if the car is truly scrap and you need to get rid of it.
Some scrap yards will require batteries, fluids and tires to be removed the vehicle as well before they'll accept the vehicle for scrap.
