When your vision suddenly gets better it can be a result of your eye focusing muscles relaxing naturally as you get older and as a result your vision can become suddenly better.
Other reasons for your vision to suddenly improve are due to lifestyle changes or even medical conditions and medication side effects are are improving which can cause your vision to get better suddenly as condition improves.
Even conditions such as diabetes, cataracts, or the development of something called second sight can be a cause of your vision to suddenly get better.
You can check your eyes at home by using an eye chart or even an Amsler grid and cover one eye at a time and look for changes in vision such as blurriness or distortion.
You can also print out a Snellen eye chart which can be found online and then hang the eye chart on the wall and ensure it's at eye level in a well lit room.
Then stand 10 feet away from the chart and cover one eye while you read the chart with the other eye and then read the letters aloud and start with the top line and move down.
Record the smallest line that you can read correctly and then note the number of the line with the majority of the letters correctly identified.
Then repeat with the other eye and if you wear glasses you should wear them during the test as well.
The numbers in vision mean your visual acuity, which is how clearly you can see at a distance when compared to how someone with normal vision can see.
20/20 vision is when you have great and normal vision and the 20 indicates how far or the distance you can see the object or eye chart and the second number which may be different from 20 means the distance in which a person with normal vision can see the same objects or letters.
For example 20/20 means you can see at 20 feet the same as others who have 20/20 vision.
Having 20/40 vision means that you can see at 20 feet what someone with normal vision can see at 40 feet.
20/10 vision means you can see at 20 feet what someone with normal vision can see at 10 feet.
And 20/100 means you can see something at 20 feet what someone with normal vision can see at 100 feet.
The smaller the second number is the better your vision is and the higher second number means your vision is not as good as normal vision and 20/20 vision is normal or average vision.
A .75 eye prescription means you have a mild refractive error, which can be nearsightedness or farsightedness depending on if it has a negative symbol or positive symbol next to it.
A positive +.75 means you have farsightedness in which your eye struggles to focus on nearby objects and a negative or -.75 means you have nearsightedness, in which the eye struggles to focus on distant objects.
0.75 eyesight can be cured through surgery but there's no other option for curing the eyesight unless through surgery such as laser eye surgery or LASIk eye surgery.
Having a 0.75 eyesight means that you have a mild degree of nearsightedness and means you can see objects clearly at close distances, but have difficulty in seeing distant objects.
Having a vision of 0.75 is mild and does not always require corrective lenses for most activities.

The "SPH" value or sphere value also represents the eyeglasses lens power that is needed to correct your vision, whether it's farsightedness or nearsightedness.
The number on eye prescription means the strength of the lens that is needed to correct your vision which is measured in diopters and represents a mild refractive error which can be nearsightedness or farsightedness or even astigmatism.
After zero, the eye prescription numbers increase by quarters, such as 0.25, 0.50 and 0.75 and the lower number indicates and means a lower lens power and a higher number indicates a higher lens power.
0.50 for glasses means the diopter value which represents a vary mild range of myopia or nearsightedness or hyperopia "farsightedness" correction is needed which the glasses with 50 on them is for.
A positive sign with the 50 on the glasses means farsightedness and a negative sign with the 50 on the glasses means nearsightedness.
