The age that lazy eye often develops is by age of 7 or be 8 years of age.

Lazy eye can develop as soon as birth to age 7 or even after later ages as well.

Lazy eye also called amblyopia arises when your brain does not receive clear signals from one eye, which causes the stronger eye to be used more, which leads to a weakened vision in your weaker eye.

Lazy eye can be caused by crossed eyes, "strabismus", unequal vision between your eyes, cataracts and eye injuries.

Lazy Eye is considered a disability although having Lazy Eye does not always qualify you for disability payments.
