I have a 100 year old house and it needs remodeling bad. I don't need a permit to remodel where I live.
So if I remodel the inside of the house and do major upgrades will my taxes go up?

Since you don't need a remodel permit then your taxes shouldn't go up unless you let the tax assessor in your house.
