When you hide someone from the police it's called harboring a wanted fugitive.

Harboring a wanted fugitive is when you knowingly hide someone from an active investigation or when the wanted person is actively a wanted criminal from local police or federal authorities.

If someone has a warrant for their arrest and you hide them then you can be found guilty of harboring the wanted fugitive.

Harboring and concealing a person from arrest is also another term for hiding someone from the police.

Section 1071 makes it a criminal offense to harbor or conceal someone that has an arrest warrant or process has been issued, so as to prevent the discovery and arrest of the fugitive, after you have notice or knowledge that a process or warrant has been issued for the apprehension of the fugitive.

Aiding and abetting someone is when you help someone commit a crime and is a criminal offense which can result in fines and jail time.

The elements of aiding and abetting are the accused had intended to help a crime happen.

The accused person has had the same intent as the person that committed the crime.

The accused also helped or took part in the crime.

And someone had actually committed the crime.

Examples of aiding and abetting a crime would be if you draw a floor plan for a bank robbery and knew the person's intentions on robbing the bank.

And allowing someone to store stolen money at your house.
