Older websites tend to rank higher and faster in Google Search due to the number of years the older website has had to get a lot of natural back links over the years.
I find that any website that ranks within a few hours or a day for keywords searched on google are at least 18 to 24 years old.
Those older websites have sometimes been around much longer than even google search has been online.
Over the course of 18 to 24 years a website has had a lot of time to get back links and has shown that they're trustworthy and worth ranking.

Your website doesn't have to be 18 or 20 years old to rank good in any search engine but as long as your website is at least a few years old you stand to rank higher in Google Search.
