Threatening a scam caller?

I keep getting scam calls every 2 hours on my phone and it's getting very annoying.

I'm thinking about answering the next call threatening them someway.

Would I get in trouble for making threats to these scammers?

I wouldn't make any threats as threats over the phone are being taken very seriously anymore.
 

So while I doubt you would go to prison for threatening a scammer I'd advise you not to do it.

Just answer the phone saying you're the FBI or police station and they'll likely never call your house again.
