On twitter how many twitter accounts are we allowed to follow per day and how long should I wait in between following someone before I follow another account?

Twitter users are allowed to follow up to 1,000 other twitter accounts in a 24 hours period.

To prevent your accounts from being locked you should wait at least 2 to 3 minutes before following other accounts.
