You cannot take sand from the beach in Texas.

It's actually illegal to take sand from the beach in Texas and any other state.

Taking sand from the beach in Texas or any other state can get you a fine if caught.

However if you were to put a tiny bit of sand in a small bag then it's unlikely you would get caught but if you took a bucket of sand from the beach it would be easier to get caught.

The best thing to do is just to leave the sand on the beach and enjoy the sand there.

Taking sand from the beach in Texas is considered larceny and could even possibly get you arrested.

It's also illegal to take sand or soil or dirt from another country and try to mail it or bring it into another country.

No soil or earth of any kind is allowed into the United States without a permit issued in advance by USDA Plant Protection and Quarantine Permit Unit.

Pure sand, such as a small container of decorative beach sand, is usually allowed.

Under the Texas Open Beaches Act the public has the free and unrestricted right to access Texas beaches, which are located on what is commonly referred to as the "wet beach," from the water to the line of mean high tide.

The beach is noticeably less pink than it used to be due to humans snagging a little souvenir.

While this may sound excessive and possibly even amusing, taking sand is illegal from beaches all over the world.
