Back in the day when google started it didn't take much to rank in there search results. But now google is making it harder and harder to rank.
It took my website
http://webmasterbabble.com around 3 years to really start bringing in search engine traffic.
The older the domain the better it seems to rank.
Just keep building up the content and your website should rank eventually.
