Babies are doing things at 15 months to 18 months of age such as developing curiosity, strong attachments, new words, independent walking, small hand movements and more.

At 15 months to 18 months of age the baby should somewhat talking and listening, reading, moving, playing outside, working on everyday skills and playing with others which are good for development.

By 15 months, it's common for many toddlers to: say 3–5 words. understand and follow simple commands. point to one body part.

15 month old babies may be using 3 to 10 words regularly.

The words that a 15 month old says may be crystal clear, or they may be using versions of words, like “ba” for bottle, but those words will still have a clear meaning.

At 15-months-old, they may also be combining gestures with words or sounds to indicate something's meaning.

By 15 months, the majority (about 75 percent) of children have a vocabulary that consists of "Mama" and "Dada" plus at least three other words, usually nouns, such as "cookie," "ball," and "dog." "More," and of course the all-time toddler favorite, "No!" are also common early words.

While the age of 15 months brings great leaps in all areas of development (motor, speech-language, cognitive and social-emotional), you'll also notice that your child's personality largely dictates which skills he'll focus on mastering.

Moreover, your child's surroundings impact how and when she will perfect certain skills.
