Some ways to deal with crippling loneliness include.

Acknowledge your feelings of loneliness.
Know when to engage or disengage from the online world when combating loneliness.
Find a volunteer opportunity as a way to feel less lonely.
Join a group or club to overcome loneliness with in-person connections.

When a feeling of being alone and disconnected persists for extended periods of time (often despite actually surrounding yourself with other humans), quality, rejuvenating alone time transitions into crippling loneliness.

Some signs that you're isolating yourself include.

Deep boredom, general lack of interest and withdrawal.
Losing interest in personal hygiene.
Poor eating and nutrition.
Significant disrepair, clutter and hoarding in the house.

For some people who have no human contact they start going crazy and insane although some people prefer no or little human contact and are okay with it.

For some people going without human contact for too long can literally break your heart. or inflammation, and make people more aggressive.

Some people go crazy or insane if they don't socialize for awhile and other people can go months or longer without socializing and be just fine.

If you don't socialize you can go insane if you need socialization.

Not everyone needs to socialize or wants to socialize so if you don't want to socialize with people you don't need too and nothing will happen.

For some people if they don't socialize the lack of socialization can lead to stress and loneliness, which can negatively affect physical as well as mental health.

The length of time it takes for someone to go insane or crazy without human contact is between a few days to a month.

However the time for each individual to go insane without human contact varies from person to person and some people are actually okay and can go forever without human contact without going insane.

I'm one of those people.

I can spend months alone and never go insane without human contact.

As long as I can get outside or go somewhere even by myself I'm just fine.

I spent a few months alone in the woods before and I was just fine.

I loved it so much and would love to move out there someday in a cabin all by myself.

My sister on the other hand would go insane within a few days of being out in the woods alone as she loves having human contact.

Some humans need social interaction with people and other humans hate being around people for too long.

I can stand being around some people for a little while but not all the time.

I prefer being alone and I'm okay with that.
