How to Get Warm When You Have the Chills?

I have the flu and now am getting the chills, my house is warm in the 90's F with the furnace going but I'm chilled and feel uncomfortable.

How can I make my body feel warm when I have the cold chills from the flu?

Whenever I get the chills I put put a blanket over me and then put a space heater next to me so that the warm air from the electric space heater blows directly onto me and warms me up.

It doesn't make the chills go away any faster but it makes me feel more comfortable having warm air blowing directly on me and being under a blanket.

Be sure to also get plenty of rest and drink plenty of fluids and avoid any drink with caffeine that could dehydrate you.

Water, tea, orange juice and other juices are good to drink when you have the flu and chills.

Chills normally go away within 2 to 3 days and should be gone fully by 5 days.
