You should wear a wrist brace all day if you'll be straining your hand.

However if you're straining your hand it's best to not wear the wrist brace all day and give your wrist a break from the wrist brace.

You should continue to wear a brace for at least 4 to 8 weeks or until your symptoms are gone.

Wearing a wrist brace at night, can also help decrease any swelling and lessen the pressure on the nerve.

The only time you should wear a wrist brace during the day is if you you'll be over-straining your hand.
