Nails such as fingernails and toenails should be between 1 to 2 millimeters in length.

Once they begin growing beyond that then it's usually a good idea to trim your toenails and fingernails.

Fingernails should be around 1 to 2 millimeters in length although some people love longer fingernails which is okay but you risk painful injury to your fingernails and fingernail bed when you have too long of fingernails.

When you look at your fingers from the side, the whites of the fingernails shouldn't be so long that they start to divorce the rounded shape of the finger.

If the fingernail is so long that it extends past the fingertips, you're due for a trim.

Hydrogen peroxide can clean and sterilize nail clippers.

Rubbing alcohol can also be used to clean and sterilize nail clippers as well.

Most salons sterilize their tools by using things such as Barbicide, UV light sterilizer boxes, or other chemical solutions.

The tools that are used in nail car include.

Astringent foot soak to sanitize feet.
Cooling foot soak to open the pores and soothe feet.
Exfoliating foot scrub to remove excess skin and callouses.

Other tools used in nail care include.

The best nail hardener is Sally Hansen Diamond Strength Instant Nail Hardener.

Whilst a nail strengthener is used to nourish your nails in the long term to promote stronger and healthier natural nails.

Hydrogen peroxide does remove nail polish.

To remove nail polish with hydrogen peroxide soak your nails in some hydrogen peroxide for a few minutes and then use a cloth or baby wipe etc to wipe off the nail polish.

You may have to repeat the process a few times but the nail polish should soften and come off.

Rubbing alcohol can also remove nail polish when you don't have nail polish remover.

The benefits of using a nail brush are the nail brush helps to clean your nails more easily and also helps to get rid of bacteria, microorganisms and dirt.

You should use a nail brush at least once or twice per week or when even once per day when you wash your hands to clean your nails and keep them clean and healthy.

To help prevent the spread of germs and nail infections: Keep nails short and trim them often.

Scrub the underside of nails with soap and water (or a nail brush) every time you wash your hands.

Clean any nail grooming tools before use.

Isopropyl and a nail brush are used to clean nails and remove debris before polishing.

The isopropyl alcohol for nails is basically a rubbing alcohol that is used for cleaning nails, removing nail polish and clean surfaces, sterilize beauty implements in order to prevent infection from cuts and scratches.

Gently wipe nails from cuticles to fingertips with 99% alcohol to remove any residual oils.

This helps polish adhere better to nails.

A nail pusher is a tool that is used to push back and loosen the cuticles with.

A nail pusher, as its name implies, is used to push back excess cuticle growth; the spoon end is used to push back cuticle.

A nail brush is not necessary but if you want to keep your nails clean and healthy then a nail brush is recommended.

If you're running a salon then yes a nail brush is a necessary part of your tools but at home it's not necessary but highly recommended to have a nail brush.

To keep your nails clean and healthy brush your nails often and clean underneath the nails as well as on top of the nails.

Also clip and cut your fingernails to keep them from growing too long.

If you do not cut your nails regularly they can grow too long and easily get damaged and broken and you may actually rip or tear a nail off during injury.

Because of their length, longer fingernails can harbor more dirt and bacteria than short nails, thus potentially contributing to the spread of infection.

To help prevent the spread of germs and nail infections: Keep nails short and trim them often.

A nail whether fingernail or toenail will grow back if removed or ripped off etc due to injury.

Nails such as fingernails and toenails do have the ability to grow back but it will take a few months to even 6 months or so before the fingernail or toenail grows back fully.

Fingernails can regrow entirely in three to six months.

Fingers or toes that have sustained injuries that affect the nail bed and the matrix grow more slowly than unaffected nails for about three months.

After a nail separates from the nail bed for whatever reason, it will not reattach.

A new nail will have to grow back in its place.

Nails grow back slowly.

It takes about 6 months for a fingernail and up to 18 months for a toenail to grow back.

If you rip a nail off you should do the following.

Cover the nail with tape or an adhesive bandage until the nail has grown out enough to protect the finger or toe.
If you trim off the detached nail, you will have less worry about the nail catching and tearing.

What are the stages of nail regrowth?

Nails grow from underneath your skin at the matrix, which is the root of your nail.

New cells form in the matrix.

And as these new cells grow, older cells move up and push through your skin.
