You can easily make your own enzyme cleaner at home.

All you have to do is mix these 3 ingredients as per the ratio –10:3:1 of Water: Fruit peel : Jaggery.

So, for every 10 parts of water, add 3 parts of fresh fruit peels (preferably citrus) and 1 part of jaggery.

Mix well and that's about it.

Vinegar is not an enzyme cleaner.

Vinegar is a good acidic cleaner but not an enzyme cleaner.

Vinegar is an aqueous solution of acetic acid and trace compounds that may include flavorings.

Vinegar typically contains 5–8% acetic acid by volume.

Usually, the acetic acid is produced by a double fermentation; converting simple sugars to ethanol using yeast and ethanol to acetic acid by acetic acid bacteria.

Enzyme cleaners contain beneficial bacteria that emit enzymes to break down molecules found in organic material like urine, feces, and food.

Once the enzymes break the molecules down into smaller pieces, the bacteria swoops in to consume those molecules, leaving you with a clean carpet sans pee stain.

Vinegar does not contain any of these enzymes but vinegar does a good job at cleaning things.

You can use a variety or mixture of citrus peels to make your homemade enzyme cleaner, including lemon, lime, grapefruit, and orange.

It's important to use fresh citrus peels that aren't dried out or rotting.

Dried peels won't contain enough citrus oil for cleaning, and rotten ones will cause the mixture to mold.

Enzymes are primary active ingredients in products such as powder and liquid detergents, stain removers, laundry pre-spotters, automatic dishwashing detergents, and industrial/medical cleaning products to name a few.
