If you have a balance on the credit card then you must still make at least the minimum payment to pay off the balance and interest.
But if you have no balance on the credit card to pay off then you won't need to make any payments unless you have some annual or other card fees that need paid.
If there's other fees that need paid then yes you'll still have to pay for the credit card even if you don't use it.
