Should a cat with diabetes be put down?

I have a cat who has diabetes and he's 14 years old.

I cannot afford to give him his insulin shots so I'm wondering should I put the cat to sleep or should I just let him live his life out with the diabetes?

I would only euthanize a cat or other animal if it was in severe suffering pain otherwise I would let the cat live out it's life.

Your cat could continue to live a good life while having the diabetes even without treatment.

So unless your cat is suffering in pain then just let it live until it dies naturally.
