Cheap moisture meters are they any good for checking moisture in firewood?

Are those cheap moisture meters for firewood you can buy very accurate in checking for moisture content and moisture levels in firewood?

I have one of those moisture meters and it's pretty accurate for as cheap as I paid for it.

You can also tell if firewood is seasoned and ready to burn by hitting them together and noticing the sound they make.

IF the firewood is seasoned and dry enough to burn it will make a hollow sound but if it's wet and not seasoned enough it will make a solid dull sound.
