Why does my body hurt so bad when I m sick?

Whenever I'm sick with the flu my body aches all over? Why do I get aches and pains all over my body when I'm sick?

Our bodies ache all over with the flu because our immune system diverts the white blood cells in our body which causes inflammation in our joints and muscles which is what causes our bodies to ache when we're sick with the flu.
