How long does it take for a dog to be affected by rat poison?

How long before a dog dies after ingesting rat poison?

If the dog is not treated as soon as you notice or suspect they've been poisoned then the dog might last for the day if it's lucky.

Usually though the dog may only live for an hour or 2 before dying from the rat poison.
