Is having Lupus disease a serious disease that can kill you?

Lupus disease can kill you but it's rare for people to die soon after getting Lupus disease.

I have an aunt who's living with Lupus disease and she's had it for 40 years and is still alive today and very healthy other than the Lupus disease.
