Dry dog food does have an expiration date in which it will expire and go stale within a certain time frame.

There should be a use by date on the dog food bag somewhere.

The dog food will be okay for your dog to eat but your dog may not want to eat the dog food once it's not fresh anymore.

I would only buy enough dog food to last the month in which the dog will be able to eat it all.
