Some ways you can avoid anxiety are to seek therapy, take some medications for anxiety and also do some other things such as deep breathing exercises.

Deep breathing exercises which is the deliberate process of taking slow, even, deep breaths can help restore normal breathing patterns and reduce anxiety.

Shallow, fast breathing is common with anxiety.

It may lead to a fast heart rate, dizziness or lightheadedness, or even a panic attack.

Other ways to calm your anxiety are.

Avoid caffeine. Caffeine is well-known as an anxiety inducer.
Avoid alcohol. Feelings of anxiety can be so overwhelming that you might feel the urge to have a cocktail to help you relax.
Write it out.
Use fragrance.
Talk to someone who gets it.
Find a mantra.
Walk it off.
Drink water.
