Who wore diapers with pins on the sides back in the day. I heard they were commonly used in the 60s and 70s when disposable diapers were still new. Even kids in the 80s, 90s and early 00s had diaper pins on them. Thankfully kids today don't have to experience being poked while changed.

I don't really remember wearing the cloth pin on diapers.

That is because I was an infant at the time.

However my mom and my Grandma put me into pin on cloth diapers until I was around 1 year old.

Then they switched me over to Pampers Diapers after my Uncle bought me some Pampers and then my mom and Grandma seen those as better and started using pampers on me.

These were the plastic backed pampers and thick.

My mom has a picture of me though in the summer of 1988 when I was 5 months old wearing a plastic backed pampers diaper.

She said that she did use some pampers on me at times when we were on road trips and loved them then but then she used cloth diapers at home.

But after a year of mostly using cloth she decided that once again the pampers were better after my uncle bought me several boxes of them.

Also my mom told me that my Grandma also used to hand sew me some cloth diapers with old shirts.
