You can and should put dish soap in your toilet occasionally.

The dish soap when put into the toilet bowl can help clean the toilet along with using toilet bowl cleaner.

Dish Soap can also help unclog some toilet clogs.

Just like they do on food particles that are stuck to your dishes in the sink, the combination of hot water and dish soap help to dissolve and break up whatever it may be that is lodged in the toilet causing a clog.

This handy tip is great should you find yourself in a pinch.

If your toilet is clogged then sometimes you need to use a toilet plunger or toilet auger to remove the clog.

In some cases the clog may actually be further down the drain.

If you flush your toilet and it backs up into the sink or tub or other drain then the clog is likely somewhere else in the sewer or drain lines.

Your sewer line and drain lines should have caps that unscrew so that you can use a plumbers snake, plumbers auger etc to help remove the clog.
