Unlike cotton polyester does not wrinkle easily as it's really wrinkle resistant.

If you put polyester garments in the dryer and use the heat setting the polyester can shrink and may also melt some and become hard.

Polyester is highly wrinkle resistant, strong and long-wearing.

However, if pure polyester items are exposed to medium to high temperatures in clothes dryers, they may melt and become warped and hard to the touch.

For polyester to shrink you have to work at it as polyester is less prone and more resistant to shrinkage than the cotton is.

50 percent cotton and 50 percent Polyester will shrink up to 5 percent.

50 percent cotton and 50 percent polyester does have the ability to shrink.

Cotton on the other hand is more easily shrunken and it's not as hard to shrink the cotton and cotton shrinks much more than polyester does.
