If the baby is sleeping fine and the poopy diaper is not bothering the baby then it's okay to allow the baby to sleep through the night in a poopy diaper.

Just be sure to apply some diaper rash cream to the babies bottom before bed and if the baby poops during the night the babies bottom and skin will be protected.

However if the poop bothers the baby and it wakes up because of a poopy diaper then of course change it.

My son when he was 1 would sleep through the night just fine in a poopy diaper and even when he was 2 years old he would poop before he went to sleep and I just allowed him to sleep through the night.

The poop is not gonna hurt the baby or toddler when sleeping in it as long as you apply some diaper rash cream and then immediately change the diaper in the morning.

Some babies hate poopy diapers and some babies don't mind a poopy diaper.

There's also no need to change a wet diaper during the night unless your babies diaper is really full in the middle of the night and could leak.

The same goes for during the day.

If the diaper is just a little wet and it's a disposable diaper then it's okay to let the diaper fill up with pee before changing it.
