Yes your 5 year old should wear diapers at night for bed wetting.

Don't force the child to wear diapers but explain to them that you'll keep it a secret and that nobody will know about it.

Dollar General Gentle Steps size 7 diapers would be a good diaper for your 5 year old who wets the bed as they are plain white mostly and not really babyish and they are very absorbent.

If the 5 year old won't wear diapers then maybe they will wear pull ups or Goodnites.

When your 5 year old keeps wetting himself at night it's a normal thing which is known as nocturnal enuresis or bed wetting.

A 5 year old who wets the bed is normal and it's usually just because the 5 year olds bladder is still small and weak yet.

Most times a kid will outgrow bed wetting by age 7 to 8 years old although some kids may continue wetting the bed until age 17.

Some adults even wet the bed too.

Bed Wetting can be caused by stress, weak bladder, small bladder, urinary tract infections, fear, insecurity and even neurological disorders.

Most kids are fully toilet trained by age 5, but there's really no target date for developing complete bladder control.

Between the ages of 5 and 7, bed-wetting remains a problem for some children.

After 7 years of age, a small number of children still wet the bed.

There are medications that can help slow urine production and even bed wetting alarms.

Another good option though is to have the child wear diapers or pull ups.

However if the child is a heavy wetter at night then regular diapers would be a better option.

Dollar General Gentle Steps size 7 diapers should fit a 5 year old and even 8 year old who wets the bed.

They are plain white mostly so they are not as babyish and they are very absorbent.

Sometimes you must show tough love so that they understand what they did is wrong but that you love them enough to punish them in this case if a child or teenager is purposely wedding themselves to get attention then I feel they should be treated like a baby with diapers on a bottle a pacifier and be wearing that diaper full time without feeling allowed to use the toilet for at least one week in front of all their friends
