To get burnt oil off a pan soak the pan in some boiling water along with some vinegar, baking soda and some dawn dish soap.

The dawn dish soap or even some other degreaser can help clean the burnt oil and cut through the oil on the pan.

Then use a sponge to clean the pan and rinse it off with some warm water.

You may need to repeat the process a few times.

Other tips to get burnt oil off a pan.

    Mix water and baking soda to make a paste.
    Spread the paste over the affected area and scrub with a scrubbing pad.
    Allow it to set until dry.
    Wash with soap and water and scrub it away.

It's always easier to clean a scorched pan as soon as possible after cooking.

To remove cooked-on oil or burnt food when dish soap and scrubbing aren't cutting it, create a slurry of water and baking soda or another powdered cleaner in the bottom of the pan.

To clean Teflon pans pit some dish washing soap onto a sponge and then gently scrub the Teflon pan and rinse it with some warm water.
