Sorry that your posts and account got deleted.
We had a server issue on the old server and the mysql crashed.
I did and do have a backup of the server database for that date that it crashed and tried to move it over to the new server.
However the database was giving errors and would not work properly because of some sql syntax errors.
I have a mysql expert working on the database to hopefully fix the errors of the database from the night the database server crashed.
So when and if they get it fixed which should hopefully be in a few days or so the posts may come back.
Luckily I did have an older database file that worked and is what got the site back up right now but it was from last year.
So we lost a years worth of posts and user accounts.
If someone's account got deleted then they will have to sign back up.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
I worked hard on restoring things and I was luckily aware of the issue within minutes of the server crashing.
We moved to a different hosting company with better server specs and more ram etc to hopefully prevent this from happening.
I take nightly backups and even morning back ups to ensure we have a current database but for some reason the most current database didn't work properly.
The information and posts and accounts are in the database however it's just a problem with some code in the database which I have hired a mysql admin to help fix the issue.
I worked hard all through the night and stayed up trying to get it moved over and restored but it just wasn't working.
So I made the decision to go ahead and restore it with the working database of a year ago.
We lost over 10,000 questions but at least the site got back online or it may have been down for another few days or even longer.
