You can neutralize soap suds in the dishwasher by using some vinegar and salt in your dishwasher.

To neutralize the soap suds in your dishwasher just pour one cup of vinegar and a few tablespoons of salt into your dishwasher.

Then, run the dishwasher for a few moments.

The vinegar and salt should deactivate the dish soap and neutralize the soap suds in the dishwasher.

You can put fairy liquid in a dishwasher or any other dish soap.

However when you use fairy liquid or other dish soaps that are not made for dishwashers the soap residue may not rinse off the first time because the dishwasher detergent does not create suds to clean the dishes.

While the fairy liquid and other soaps create suds which leaves some residue on the dishes which need rinsed off a second time.

If you put laundry detergent in your dishwasher your dishwasher will work just fine and clean your dishes.

However the laundry detergent may not rinse fully off the dishes and may leave some residue.

So if you do use laundry detergent in your dishwasher instead of dishwasher detergent you may need to run the rinse cycle again on the dishwasher to fully rinse the soap off the dishes.

But laundry detergent and even regular dish detergent will work in the dishwasher but the dishwasher detergent produces less suds so that it washes off the dishes easier to leave no residue.

While dishwasher detergent is a soap, it doesn't work the same as other types of soap.

Dishwashing detergent is designed to clean with a thick foam of suds.

Instead of suds, dishwasher detergent relies on enzymes to eat away at the mess.

Dishwashing detergent doesn't dissolve as well in water, which is why it's often best that you use it with warm water.

What this all boils down to is that the same amount of dishwasher liquid will need to be used in order to get the same cleaning ability as a dishwasher detergent.

I have used laundry detergent and even shampoo or regular dish washing soap in my dishwasher and other than having to run the dishes through a second rinse cycle nothing bad happened and the dishes did come clean.

Although for best results it's better to use regular dishwasher detergent that is formulated for dishwashers.
