How do you know when A diaper is too small?

How can you tell if a diaper for a toddler or baby is too small and know when the toddler or baby is ready to move up to a new size diaper?

If your baby or toddler is starting to leak out of the diaper then it's time to go up a diaper size.

Another thing if the diaper tabs won't go near the middle of the diaper then that's also an indication a diaper that is too small and you should move to the next diaper size.
