Driving after an eye exam is usually okay as long as you wait a few hours before driving.

Or if you live within the same town as the eye doctor then driving home after the eye exam is usually okay.

But if you live further away then you should have someone drive you home after the eye exam or at least wait awhile to allow the eye dilation drops to wear off.

Most times you can drive yourself home after an eye exam.

However ask the eye doctor if they are gonna dilate your eyes and if you have your eyes dilated you should really have someone drive you home.

But if not then you should wait at least an hour or two after the eyes are dilated to allow the eye dilating drops to wear off some.

Your eyes can be a bit blurry for a few hours and then you should be able to drive home.

If you live really close to the eye doctor then it can be okay to drive to and from the eye doctor yourself.

But if you need to do any highway driving then it would be best to arrange for someone to drive you home from the eye exam unless you can wait in the parking lot or somewhere close by for a few hours or so to allow your eyes to return to normal.

Before you drive after your eyes are dilated you need to wait for at least a few hours to allow the dilated eye drops to wear off.

It can take up to 4 to 8 hours for the dilating eye drops to wear off fully but within a few hours you should be able to see enough to drive.

However if not then you should get someone to drive you home for safety.

Dilated eyes can be gotten rid of faster by using some special eye drops but other than that you just have to wait a few hours or so for the dilated eyes to start returning to normal.

When you have your eyes dilated at an eye doctor it can take a few hours or so to allow the dilated eyes to return to normal.

There are some special eye drops that you can put in your eyes to help get rid of the dilated eyes faster but eye doctors don't recommend them.

The best thing to do is just wait it out and within a few hours you should be able to see more normally.

And within 24 hours the dilated eyes should return to normal.

You can drive after dilating drops but you should wait at least 1 to 2 hours to drive to allow the dilating drops to wear off some.

The dilating drops can make your vision blurry for awhile so if you're unable to see clearly then you should wait and have someone drive you home.

Most times dilating eye drops last between 4 hours to 24 hours.

The length of time the dilating eye drops last will depend on the strength and type of the dilating eye drops.

It also depends on the individual person.

Dilation with dilating eye drops can last longer in some people with lighter colored eyes, and in some cases, may last longer than 24 hours.

If you go to an eye doctor and get your eyes tested you should have someone to drive you home if possible because your eyes may be a bit blurry and cause blurry vision for up to 4 hours or sometimes longer.

Whenever I've had dilating eye drops put into my eyes for dilation the dilating eye drops started wearing off after a few hours.

Within 4 hours I was able to see enough to drive.
