How do stray cats survive winter?

Its winter now and very cold -3F tonight.

I feel bad for stray cats. How do they survive in cold weather?

I feel so bad for the cats too but they are made to survive out in the weather sometimes they'llgo into abandoned buildings to get out of the cold.
