Medicaid does cover the cost of rollator walkers that are deemed medically necessary by your doctor.
For Medicaid to pay for the rollator walker your doctor must say that the rollator walker is medically necessary for you and they must write a prescription for the rollator walker.
Then Medicaid will cover the cost of the rollator walker.
If you can't get Medicaid to cover the cost of the rollator walker then they are not that expensive.
You can buy a rollator walker or other walkers for $100.00 or less.
Durable Medical Equipment (DME) that is deemed medically necessary, has been prescribed by a doctor, and is cost effective is covered by both Medicaid and Medicare.
As long as it's prescribed and deemed medically necessary then Medicaid and Medicare will pay for the durable Medical Equipment and also the rollator walker.
