The word complicit means to be involved with others in an illegal activity or wrongdoing.

Being complicit is not a good thing as it means you were involved in some wrongdoing and you can be held liable for being involved in the wrongdoing or illegal activity.

Complicity is the participation in a completed criminal act of an accomplice, a partner in the crime who aids or encourages other perpetrators of that crime, and who shared with them an intent to act to complete the crime.

Some other words for complicit are collusion, intrigue, implication, connivance.

An example of using complicit in a sentence was "He was complicit in the murder along with John Doe".

The John Doe would be the actual murderer in this example but if you were helping him drive the get away car and also helped him hide the body then you would be complicit in that murder.

Complicit is a legal term meaning you helped or aided the person in the crime or illegal act.
