You should worry about muscle twitching if the muscle twitching continues longer than a few hours or continues more than a day.

Also some medications can cause muscle twitching and if you experience the muscle twitching within a few hours of taking a new drug or changing your dose, call your doctor.

You may have this condition, which happens when some medications, drugs, or supplements cause too much of the brain chemical serotonin to build up in your body.

Muscle Jerks and Muscle Twitching can be caused by anxiety.

However in some cases ALS can cause muscle jerks and muscle twitching.

So if you do continue experiencing muscle jerks that don't go away or muscle twitching get checked out because it could be ALS.

ALS is a serious nervous system disease that is deadly.

Experiencing psychological stress or high anxiety can cause muscle jerks and muscle twitching which is normal.

If the muscle jerks and muscle twitching are only happening when you have anxiety then it's normal and usually nothing to worry about.

But if the muscle jerks or muscle twitching are happening when you're not having anxiety attacks etc then it could be something more serious that is causing it.

High anxiety levels can lead to muscle tension which then leads to muscle jerks which are normal and should go away once your anxiety calms down.
