Yes you can drink through a straw with Invisalign.

There's no need to remove the Invisalign to drink something through a straw unless it's a hot drink.

If you have a hot drink then the Invisalign should be removed as it can warp the plastic trays of Invisalign.

You can use Listerine or other Mouthwash to clean your mouth, teeth and the Invisalign.

Also it's recommended that you use a Mouthwash such as Listerine to clean the Invisalign when you have it removed from your teeth as well.

The Invisalign can gather bacteria and the mouthwash such as Listerine can help kill that bacteria.

Just about anyone is a candidate for Invisalign although if you smoke it's not a good idea to wear Invisalign because the smoking can stain the Invisalign and may cause issues with it.

As long as you don't smoke then as long as you need your teeth aligned then Invisalign can be for you.

Invisalign is a wonderful way to straighten your teeth but they do have some cons to them.

Some of the disadvantages to Invisalign are.

Expensive:

One of the biggest disadvantages of Invisalign is that they are expensive.

Invisalign is not covered by dental insurance, which means you can expect to pay anywhere from $3,500 to $8,000 for them. In other words, if you are on a tight budget, are strapped for cash, or don’t want to make a withdrawal from your child’s college savings plan, you may want to rethink getting Invisalign.

Attachments:

More and more attachments to go along with Invisalign have become the norm.

The attachments are usually enamel ridges that stick to your teeth in a way that is similar to brackets that are included with standard braces.

The attachments are used to click into the aligners so that they fit better and can more effectively shift your teeth into proper position.

Attachments also make Invisalign much more noticeable, which can mean you look more like you’re wearing actual braces.

Required to Wear Them 22 Hours Per Day:

Invisalign must be worn a minimum of 22 hours per day.

Typically, you are only supposed to remove them for eating and practicing daily oral hygiene.

That means that if you are heading out for a date or going to a party, you will have to wear them.

Tooth Discomfort:

Getting new Invisalign aligner trays can be uncomfortable and even painful when you get fitted for a new set. Although the orthodontist most likely refers to the feeling as “pressure,” it can be painful as your teeth are adjusting to a new set of aligners.

You may want to use a pain reliever to help with this pain while your teeth adjust to your Invisalign.

Inconvenience:

Invisalign aligners can be cumbersome for some patients.

You always have to remove them for eating, which means you may deal with some embarrassment when you go out to eat.

You are also required to brush your teeth after each meal before putting them back in your mouth, which means you’ll be brushing your teeth multiple times per day, which can be inconvenient.

Invisalign is worth the money and is cheaper than braces.

As long as you follow the instructions and wear the Invisalign like you're supposed to the Invisalign can permanently straighten your teeth.

You can pay the full amount for Invisalign which is around $2,800.00 to $3,000.00 or if you qualify you can get on a payment plan for Invisalign.

The payment plan for Invisalign is $99.00 per month to $125.00 per month with no down payment if you qualify.

Invaslign costs around $2,800.00 and can be paid monthly or all at once.

Invisalign is a permanent fix for misaligned or crooked teeth.

As long as you follow the dentists instructions for the Invisalign you should have straight teeth permanently for life.

If you don't wear the Invisalign properly then your teeth can shift back again but as long as you follow the instructions and wear the Invisalign like you're supposed to the Invisalign is a permanent fix.

Invisalign is supposed to be a little tight especially in the beginning.

This is to allow the Invisalign to align your teeth but overtime the Invisalign should become a bit looser but if they are too tight then it could be a problem.

during the first week of Invisalign the first week of Invisalign is the worst.

During the first week of Invisalign it's normal to experience some discomfort and sometimes some pain but after the first week the discomfort should start going away and the longer you wear it the better it gets.

It's okay to skip a week of wearing Invisalign as long as you've been wearing the Invisalign for at least a few months.

If you've only been wearing the Invisalign for a month then you should not skip a week of Invisalign because it can then allow your teeth to shift back and you'll have to start over again.

20 hours per day can be enough for Invisalign but for best results it's better to wear the Invisalign for 22 hours per day.

Then take it off for a few hours during the day.

Your teeth can shift out of place if you don't wear Invisalign 22 hours a day and then you'll have to start all over again and it will take longer for your teeth to align properly.

Invisalign works to align your teeth by gradually and slowly moving your teeth.

It's a slow process and you have to wear the Invisalign for at least a few months before you see some results.

It may take as long as 6 months to a year to see full results of the Invisalign but if you wear the Invisalign like you're supposed to then your teeth should be aligned properly.

Sometimes your teeth to move back slightly after you stop wearing Invisalign.

Your teeth moving back some after Invisalign is normal as they can slightly shift.

Your teeth moving back after Invisalign is the result of everyday wear and tear on your teeth as you bite down, chew, swallow, and speak.

Also Invisalign can sometimes cause yellow teeth.

Usually though you can have a dentist clean your teeth and remove that yellowing of the teeth if you have your teeth cleaned soon enough.

French Kissing or even just kissing is possible when you have Invisalign.

The Invisalign may make it more difficult to French Kiss or to just kiss someone but you can still kiss someone while wearing Invisalign.

The wearing of Invisalign is basically invisible to most people and you can easily still kiss someone while you're wearing your Invisalign.

The Invisalign does not affect your kissing ability.

When it comes to straightening and aligning your teeth and you're choosing between braces or Invisalign the Invisalign is much better than the braces.

The braces have a potential to cut your teeth and are less comfortable to wear and they need adjusted often.

But the Invisalign is much more comfortable to wear and does not have the potential to cut your gums.

So the Invisalign is much better for your teeth than braces.
