Is it ironic that you have to be brave to kill yourself?

When people commit suicide they say that the person was weak and not brave but I would say it takes bravery and to be strong to actually end your life?

Why do people say that people who commit suicide are weak and not brave?

Yes it is ironic that you have to be brave to kill yourself and when someone says they are weak for doing so that makes it even more ironic.

It does take guts to be able to actually go through with killing yourself.

You also have to think about the way that the suicide is gonna go through and be prepared for potentially still living and having a brain injury etc.

Some people try to kill themselves through shooting themselves etc and then still live and are basically either like a vegetable or they have mental disabilities after doing so.

There's no guarantee that you'll actually die from shooting yourself or doing anything else so it can be possible that you wind up in a worse situation than you are now.

For the people that do commit suicide they are brave for being able to do so.

However when someone does say the person is weak and not brave I believe they are referring to the person not being brave or strong to continue living through the world and living their life.
