When I needed to replace the fuel pump on my truck I just unbolted the bed and used an engine cherry picker to raise the bed up on one side and then I had access to the fuel pump.
I could then remove the fuel pump by using a screwdriver to turn the ring that holds the fuel pump sending unit in place and then it lifted right out.
You have to undo the fuel lines as well but replacing a fuel pump is a pretty easy job but requires some time to do.
