If you install a fuel pump control module without programming it properly then the fuel pump control module may cause issues with your vehicle.
The engine may not start, may run rough, lose fuel pressure etc.
So it's important to get the fuel pump control module programmed on your vehicle by a mechanic who has the software and equipment to program it.
If you install the fuel pump control module yourself then you need to take the vehicle to a mechanic or have a mobile mechanic come by to program the fuel pump control module.
Unless you have the programming equipment yourself then you can program the fuel pump control module yourself.
