Babies freaking out during a diaper change is normal.

Some babies just suddenly start hating diaper changes and they will cry like you're hurting them even though you're not.

It can be that the baby is just tired of going through the process of having his pants or outfit ripped off and having his diaper removed and being wiped.

The wipes could also be cold and so you might try a wipe warmer.

Eventually the baby will get over it even if they cry and fight during a diaper change.

I have a 2 year old son who hates having his diaper changed as well and I have to chase him down and pin him down to change his diaper.

He would fight the diaper change so bad that I have to strap him down to the changing table so he cannot move around.

Then I change his diaper and he eventually stops crying and fussing.

My 2 year old hates wearing diapers as well and cries and asks to get it off but he won't use the potty so he has to wear a diaper until he does.

Honestly I would rather change his diapers than deal with potty training.

Diapers should be changed every 3 hours to 4 hours depending on the age of the baby or toddler.

Some younger babies that are younger than 1 year old may need a diaper change every 2 hours or sooner and may need 8 to 10 diaper changes per day.

A baby older than 1 year old may only need a diaper change every 3 to 4 hours and sometimes may only need a diaper change every 6 hours.
