Some disadvantages of LED lights are the LED lights can sometimes cast a glare or seem dimmer in a house or building than incandescent light bulbs.
Other disadvantages of LED lights are the disposal of the LED lights, the hazardous waste to make them such as mercury etc.
LED lights are not really any better for the environment than regular bulbs as it takes more resources to make the LED bulbs than it does to make a regular light bulb.
When you need to dispose of LED light bulbs it can be hard to do since not a whole lot of recycling places are available for LED bulbs.
However Homedepot or Lowe's or other hardware stores may take the LED bulbs for recycling.
Or look online as some companies will pay for shipping and you ship the LED bulbs to them for recycling.
Also check with your town, city etc as they may have a recycling program available for the LED bulbs or other hazardous waste.
LED light bulbs are hazardous waste when they need to be disposed of.
If you have LED bulbs that are no longer good then you should dispose of the LED bulbs through recycling them if possible.
Some Home Depots will take LED light bulbs for recycling and they may even give you a discount on the new LED bulbs you buy.
