The way you massage a toddler for constipation is to massage the toddler stomach and lower abdomen in a clockwise direction. Do this a few times throughout the day.

The massages can help get the toddlers bowels moving.

If your toddler is always constipated it's usually because of a diet that is not high enough in fiber.

To keep from becoming constipated a toddler or anyone needs to eat enough fiber rich foods and also drink plenty of water.

Whole grains, fruits and vegetables are a good source of fiber that your toddler or everyone should be eating.

When my 2 year old was holding his poop in and would not use the toilet or a diaper for poop then I kept him diapers and taped the diaper on with packing tape so he could not remove it and also put him in a sleeper that zipped up the back.

Then I gave him Miralax and within a few hours he was pooping his diaper.

He felt uncomfortable pooping the diaper and I made him wear it for awhile and said that if he used the toilet for poop then he would not have to sit in a poopy diaper.

When he turned 3 years old he decided he no longer wanted to poop in a diaper and started using the toilet.

If your 2 year old is just constipated you can also give the 2 year old some Miralax or give them prune juice, prunes or apples, pears etc to help them poop.

Feeding them some grapes can also get the 2 year olds bowels moving as well.

When your child is holding in their poop you need to give them a laxative or other stool softener to forcefully make them poop.

Once you give the child some laxative or stool softener then the child will poop without being able to hold it back.

They will either run to the toilet or poop their pants.

All the better if they are still wearing diapers and the diaper can catch it.

I had to give my 2 year old some Miralax to help him poop because he would not poop in the toilet or in the diaper.

He only wanted to poop on the floor but that was not happening.

I had to tape his diaper on with packing tape and when I gave him the Miralax he was pooping the diaper within a few hours.

Gripe Water does not work for constipation and in fact giving your baby or toddler gripe water may actually make the constipation worse.

Gripe water can help with stomach issues but not for constipation.

If your baby is 6 months or older you can give them some Miralax to help the toddler poop.

They also make laxatives for toddlers depending on their age to help them poop when constipated.

You can give your toddler Miralax to help them poop and help with toddler constipation.

Miralax stool softener is safe to give to babies and toddlers that are at least 6 months of age or older.

Mirilax is a very good stool softener for children ages 6 months and up.

The Miralax works to relieve constipation and helps your toddler or baby poop by bringing more water into the colon, softening the stool and making it easier to pass.

It is very safe and is not habit forming.

Just give the toddler a little bit of MiraLax like a tablespoon size dosage every 4 hours and the toddler should start having to poop soon after.

You can also help the toddler with constipation by giving them some grape juice, apple juice, apples, bananas etc
