Some foods that can cause Polyps in the colon are red meat, fried foods, beef and pork.

Other foods that can also cause Polyps in the colon are lunch meat, hotdogs, sausage and bacon.

However some people are more prone to those polyps of the colon than others through genetics.

The reason red meat is supposed to cause colon cancer or other cancer is because when the red meat is cooked at high temperatures, the high temperature cooking of the red meat results in the production of compounds (heterocyclic amines and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons)

That is then supposed to cause bowel cancer and colon cancer in people with a genetic predisposition.

Not everyone will get cancer from eating red meat but some people do.

Red meat does not actually cause colon cancer or any other cancer but if you consume too much red meat then it can lead to other health issues that can lead to the colon cancer or other cancer.

Red meat itself is not cancerous.

However eating red meat has been shown to increase your risk of developing cancer later on in life.

But you usually have to eat a lot of red meat and not eat other healthy foods before the red meat leads to possible cancer.

I've eaten red meat for years myself and never have gotten cancer.

So you're not gonna always get cancer from eating red meat.

However if someone in your family has had or has cancer then you may also be more at risk for developing cancer.

But the red meat itself is not the cause of it but the red meat does increase your chances of developing cancer but I would not worry about it.
