Vinegar can be used in your dishwasher to clean the dishwasher out of calcium deposits.

I use vinegar to clean my dishwasher at least once per month and I just pour some vinegar into the bottom of the dishwasher which works just fine to clean the dishwasher.

A dishwasher normally takes around 1 hour to 1 hour and 30 minutes to complete a dish washing cycle and be done.

After the dishwasher shuts off and stops washing the dishes it has to dry the dishes using the heating element as well.

If your dishwasher is taking longer than 2 hours though then the dishwasher may be clogged and need cleaned.

You can use CLR to clean Calcium deposits or even vinegar to clean Calcium Deposits in your dishwasher.

And clean the drain out where the cover is with holes.

If your dishes are still dirty after washing them in the dishwasher it's likely you need to clean your dishwasher out.

Overtime food debris can accumulate in the dishwasher and also accumulate on the bottom of the dishwasher which can then get flung up and around onto your dishes.

The dirty grime in the dishwasher can also mix with the clean water and then get sprayed onto your dishes.

So when a dishwasher is leaving dishes dirty it needs to be cleaned out.

You can wipe down the dishwasher inside with some soap and water and make sure to clean the drain out which has a little plastic cover with holes that usually just lifts up with a screwdriver.

Clean any food debris out of that drain and then it should make your dishes more clean.

When dishes smell after washing the dishes in the dishwasher it's usually because of a dirty dishwasher or even hard water.

Sometimes your dishwasher can become dirty inside and have leftover food debris in the dishwasher that you may not easily see.

And then that can lead to your dishes becoming smelly when you wash them.

So make sure to wipe down the dishwasher with soap and water and if you have hard water maybe use a hard water softener.

Also overtime when the dishwasher is in use the dishwasher can accumulate leftover small food particles that get into the drain and that water can then also get recirculated through your dishwasher so make sure the drain is cleaned.

Yes a dishwasher machine does turn off automatically after it's done washing the dishes and rinsing the dishes.

The dishwasher will automatically go through a few different cycles and the first cycle is washing, then the next cycle is rinsing the dishes and then finally the heating element comes on in the dishwasher to dry the dishes.

Then after that is done the dishwasher shuts off automatically and if the dishwasher does not shut off automatically then something is wrong with the controls.

A dishwasher takes between 1 hour to 2 hours from start to finish depending on the size of dishwasher.
