Normal house water pressure is around 40 to 45 PSI.

However some houses have a higher water pressure of 50 PSI to 60 PSI which is normal as well but any water pressure above 60 PSI could cause damage to valves and other plumbing in the house.

You can put a water pressure regulator on your incoming water line to reduce the water pressure to a safer and more normal water pressure for your needs.

If you have lower water pressure then it could be the water lines leading to your house or the water lines in the street or water lines coming from the water tower where the water is pumped to and then leaves the water tower to go to your house.

The height of the water tower creates the water pressure in towns that have water towers and the water is pumped from a lake or water well and into the water tower.

The closer you are to the water tower the more water pressure you'll usually have.

The further away you are from the water tower the lower water pressure you'll usually have.

House water pressure should be between 40 to 45 PSI and any higher than that could cause issues with the plumbing in the house.

You can use a water pressure regulator on the water line coming into your house to lower the water pressure when it's too high.
