Does checking your credit score too much lower the credit score?

I like to keep a check on my credit score at least 3 times per month and I'm wondering if checking my credit score so often could be lowering or affecting my credit score someway?

When a loan company or other person checks your credit score there is a hard inquiry that is put on your credit report and eventually drops off. Those credit checks will impact and could lower your credit score.

But when you personally check your own credit score it doesn't lower or do anything to the credit score. You can check your credit score as often as possible.
