Yes kids do need a booster shot before Kindergarten.
Before the kid enters Kindergarten and before the kid can be enrolled into Kindergarten the kid must have his or her booster shots and any other shots.
You must show the school proof of the shots and vaccines which a doctor should give you a paper or card that lists the vaccines that the kid has had before entering kindergarten.
If your kid has not gotten the vaccines then they will not be allowed to enter kindergarten.
So make sure your kid gets a booster shot at least a month or so before they are enrolled into Kindergarten.
Some schools and states require other vaccines as well and the school can let you know what vaccines they require.
I know I had to have a booster shot when i was 5 years old before I entered Kindergarten.
I can remember the day as I was having to pull my pants down and expose my underwear and I fought the doctors and my dad and threw a big fit and my dad had to hold me down over his lap with my bare butt sticking out.
I got the vaccine and I got a spanking before that as well to make me calm down.
